In the book The Prophet by kalil Gibran ...then the Ploughman said, 'speak to us of work.' If ever there were a book of knowledge and wisdom, this is it. Get it, read it. The section on work is very much the ethos of this place, which applies to everyone who works here. In essence it is this; to work with love in your heart.

Some years ago I was blown away by a chapter in a book by Og Mndino
The Greatest Salesman in the World.
I have edited and added some wisdom's whilst at the same time, I hope to keep the integrity of this chapter in tact.

The following words became my mantra; it is now known as

The Drawingroom Mantra

I greet this day with Love in my heart, for Love is the greatest Gift. Love is my greatest weapon and no one can defend against its force. For whatever reason I am rejected, Love will melt their hearts, as sun softens the coldest clay.

With Love in my heart, I will see Love in everything; the sun and rain, the light and the darkness and as happiness enlarges my heart, sadness opens my soul. As rewards are my due, so too are obstacles, they are my challenge. Love brings order and balance.

With Love in my heart, enemies will become my brothers and sisters. With Love in my heart I will find reasons to praise not excuses to gossip. When moved to praise, I will shout about it, for even modest praise goes a long way; Love celebrates all that is good.

With Love in my heart, I will see in all people, all manner of qualities, however hidden. Love tears down the walls of suspicion and hate built around cold hearts and builds bridges so that Love may enter their souls.

I greet this day with Love in my heart. I will love the ambitious for they can inspire me and the fallen, for they can teach me, kings for they are but human, meek for they are divine, the wealthy for their loneliness, the poor for they are so many, the old for the wisdom they share, the beautiful for their eyes of sadness, the ugly for their souls of peace, I will love all mankind.

With Love as my shield, hate and anger, adversity and discouragement become as soft as rain. Love will protect me and sustain me when I am alone. Love holds me in moments of despair and calms me in moments of exultation. With Love in my heart I will become stronger and protected by Love. With Love in my heart, I will walk unencumbered among all manner of men, as Love radiates from me as a beacon to others.

Love springs spontaneously from within, Love and coercion can never go together, but though Love cannot be forced upon anyone, Love is self-communicative. Those who do not have it catch it from those who do. True Love is unconquerable and irresistible and It goes on gathering power and spreading Itself until It transforms everyone It touches.

I greet this day with Love in my heart. Whomsoever I greet, in silence and to myself, I will say, "I Love you". Love will shine in my eyes, unwrinkle my brow, put a smile on my lips and an echo in my voice and hearts will be opened.

With Love in my heart, I will love myself and in so loving myself, I forgive myself as I forgive everyone, everything. I will love my body, my mind, my soul and my heart with gentleness, kindness and compassion, never drawn to evil or despair; never complacent or satisfied but fed with meditation and prayer, knowledge and wisdom.

Without Love, I can become small and bitter; shared my Love will grow and warm the earth. With Love I ask that all beings, without exception be happy in heart. With Love, there can be no deception, nor ill will to anyone anywhere. Let my/our thoughts of Loving kindness pervade the whole world, without obstruction, without hatred, without judgement, without enmity.

I greet this day with Love in my heart. From this moment, I Love all mankind. From this moment all hate is let from my veins, I have not time to hate, only time to Love. If I have no other qualities, I can succeed with Love alone. Without Love, I will fail though I have all the knowledge and skills of the world.

Je saluerai ce jour avec de l'amour dans le cœur, car
c'est le secret de réussite de toutes entreprises. Les
muscles peuvent fendre un bouclier et détruire la vie,
mais seul le pouvoir invisible de l'Amour peut ouvrir
le coeur des hommes. Jusqu'à ce que je maîtrise cet
art, je ne serai guère plus qu'un amateur en ce monde.
Je ferai de l'amour ma plus grande arme et aucun de
ceux à qui je ferai appel ne pourra se défendre contre
sa force.

Mon raisonnement, ils peuvent le contredire ; mes
paroles, ils peuvent s'en méfier ; mes vêtements, ils
peuvent les désapprouver ; mon visage, ils peuvent le
rejeter, et même mon service peut les rendre
suspicieux; malgré tout, mon amour fera fondre leurs
coeurs, pareil au soleil, dont les rayons adoucissent
l'argile le plus froid.

Je saluerai ce jour avec de l'amour dans le coeur.
Comment ferai-je cela? A partir de maintenant, je
regarderai toute chose avec amour et je renaîtrai. Je
vais aimer le soleil car il réchauffe mes os et la
pluie, car elle purifie mon esprit. Je vais aimer la
lumière, car elle me montre le chemin à suivre, et
l'obscurité,
car elle me montre les étoiles.

Je souhaite la bienvenue au bonheur car il agrandit
mon coeur et à la tritesse car elle ouvre mon âme. Je
me montrerai reconnaissant des récompenses, car elles
me sont dues, et des obstacles, car ils sont mon défi.

Je saluerai ce jour avec de l'amour dans le coeur. Je
ferai l'éloge de mes ennemis et ils deviendront mes
amis ; j'encouragerai mes amis, et ils deviendront mes
frères. Je ne cesserai de chercher des raisons de
faire des éloges, et non des excuses pour faire des
commérages. Quand je serai tenté de critiquer, je me
mordrai
la langue; quand je serai ému jusqu'à l'éloge,
je le crierai sur tous les toits. La nature ne se
fête-t-elle pas avec la musique des louanges pour son
Créateur? Moi aussi, je fêterai tout ce qui est bon,
la vie est désirable pour elle-même. A partir de cet
instant, je me souviendrai de ce secret, et il
changera ma vie.

Je saluerai ce jour avec de l'amour dans le cœur. Et
comment ferai-je face à chacun de ceux que je
rencontrerai ? D'une seule manière : en silence et en
mon for intérieur, je leur adresserai la parole pour
leur dire : " Je vous aime ". Bien que parlés en
silence, ces mots brilleront dans mes yeux, effaceront
les rides de mon front, apporteront un sourire à mes
lèvres et un écho à ma voix et, leur cœur s'ouvrira.
Qui pourrait me dire " non " quand son cœur ressent
mon amour ?

Je saluerai ce jour avec de l'amour dans le cœur. Plus
que tout, je m'aimerai moi-même car quand je le ferai,
j'examinerai minutieusement toute chose qui pénètre
mon cœur, mon esprit, mon âme et mon cœur. Jamais je
n'abuserai des revendications de ma chair, au lieu de
cela, je chérirai mon corps avec pureté et modération.
Jamais je ne permettrai à mon esprit d'être attiré par
le mal et le désespoir, au lieu de cela, je l'élèverai
par la connaissance et la sagesse
de l'âge. Je ne
permettrai jamais à mon âme de devenir suffisante et
satisfaite, au lieu de cela, je la nourrirai avec la
méditation et la prière. Jamais je ne permettrai à mon
cœur de devenir petit et amer, au lieu de cela, je le
partagerai et il s'agrandira et réchauffera la terre.

Je saluerai ce jour avec de l'amour dans le cœur. A
partir de cet instant, j'aime l'humanité entière. A
partir de cet instant, toute haine est ôtée de mes
veines car je n'ai pas le temps de haïr, seulement le
temps d'aimer. A partir de cet instant, je fais le
premier pas pour devenir un homme parmi les hommes.
Avec l'amour, j'accroîtrai au centuple mon succès dans
tout ce que je ferai et je deviendrai grand. Même si
je n'ai aucune autre qualité, je peux réussir rien
qu'avec l'amour. Sans lui, j'échouerai même si j'ai
toutes les connaissances et compétences du monde.

Je saluerai ce jour avec de l'amour et de la
reconnaissance dans le cœur et je réussirai.
