Music
At The Drawingroom
There have been
music events held here since The Drawingroom opened in September
2002. These festivals have become part of Chesham's 'new' culture.
I want to provide a platform to singer songwriters who write and
produce their own material.
Tony
Moore
formerly of the Cutting Crew - The
man who makes The
Bedford London's premier new and emerging music venue- opened
and closed the first event finishing with an 'unplugged' version
of 'I just died in your arms.' Since then other rock legends have
followed: Les Payne, Finlay
Quaye's writing partner, the amazing guitarist Tom
Greenwood, Kirsty
Hawkshaw who works with DJ Tiesto
and who's music was used to open the Olympics in Athens.
From Acid Jazz
to Rock, Classical to Ambient, Every musician has been more than
good enough to have performed on television. Several of these musicians
have performed on television and in front of audiences several times
larger than my capacity of 250. Tickets sellout very quickly, so
if you are on the invite list...don't delay in purchasing.
Just some of the amazing musicians who have appeared here....

In 2005 we
did the first 'Moving Art Show,' incorporating some work by
Sir Ridley Scott for PRADA, edited by my good friend and Glastonbury
buddie Dayn Williams
together with a shortfilm premiered here in the UK at The
Drawingroom.
This film too was edited by Dayn
Williams went on to to be an Academy
Award - nominated film, in the short films category.
Bard
The
youngest performer was (then)11 years old, Lizzie M. She has now
reached the finals in a UK talent contest with the music charity
'UK Unsigned' and played at Hackney
Empire on Sunday 7th August and won the 13-19 age group category.
If that wasn't enough, I heard she has reached the finals of the
Junior Eurovision as well...certainly a star in the making, The
Blue Review, were runners up in this years 'battle of the band'
for 'Children in Need.'
With classical performances by Don Perera, Royal
Academy of Music, The Emanuel
Ensemble,
Royal
College of Music, like the Fineart inside the Gallery, it is
world-class entertainment.some of you will have heard Alex
McEwan play here too. Alex was played extensively during the
summer on Radio 2 ...all power to him.
If you would
like to perform here, if you are looking for that break, send me
your demo, and let's talk.(Write
to Richard) ...or "Take
me to current and forthcoming events"
