Writers&Scribblers

writers-block edit       If you write or you’ve ever wanted to write something, a novel, an essay, an article or perhaps a children’s story, for fun… or fortune and fame…this could be your thing.

There are three writers gatherings each month, two during the day (Thursdays) and one in the evening on a Wednesday.

  1. Writers & Scribblers: This is the original writers group and held on the second Wednesday of each month, at 7.30 pm. There is a charge of £5 per head and this includes a drink (glass of wine/beer/tea/coffee or hot chocolate).
  2. The New Writer’s Lunch Club: meets at 1pm to 3pm ish, upstairs at the Drawingroom on the last Thursday of each month. There is a small charge of £5.00 per head, which includes a drink. You can buy a tasty lunch from our varied menu whilst here. This new group welcomes aspiring authors who are looking for support, constructive feedback, stimulation, ideas, a bit of education and of course some fun. Drop ins are welcome.
  3. New Writers Mentoring Lunchtime This Chesham Writers’ Mentor session with Margaret Graham ( www.margaret-graham.com)  are on the second Thursday of each month between on 1pm-3pm at The Drawingroom. The next meeting is Thursday 11th April and this is the start of a six month commitment and payment in full will be required in advance on Thursday.The total is £36.00 for the next six months for Margaret and then pay as you leave the usual £5.00 to The Drawing Room which includes a drink– a bargain for what we get!!If newcomers wish to attend, you are welcome and you may come along for a taster, pay £6.00 for the one session and if you want to continue thereafter, you will be required to pay for the remaining sessions in advance.
    Our monthly group meeting remains a drop in for anyone wishing to attend on the last Thursday of the month between 1pm – 3pm.
